James Flexner is a Managing Partner at Avego Management, a multi-strategy healthcare-dedicated investment firm with offices in New York and Georgia. Since joining Avego in 2017, James has co-led the firm’s private equity strategy, Avego Healthcare Capital, which focuses on control and minority equity investments in lower-middle market companies in the life sciences sector. Prior to Avego, Mr. Flexner was with Metalmark Capital, where he focused on leveraged buyout transactions and growth equity investments across healthcare. Mr. Flexner began his career as an investment banker in the Global Healthcare Group at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Flexner graduated Dartmouth College with a BA degree in Economics and Chemistry.
