Mark was a managing director with Stanford Management Company and UTIMCO before joining Capital Creek. Mark’s extensive pre-investment experience provided him with broad operating exposure to several industries including technology, oil & gas, real estate, and consulting. Mark has served as a guest lecturer for Stanford University and the University of Notre Dame. Mark holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

In addition to having served on many venture capital, private equity, natural resource, and real estate fund advisory boards throughout his career, Mark has also been an active participant in leading industry organizations. Previously, Mark served on the Conference Committee for the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He now serves on the Investment Committee for the St. Andrew's Episcopal School of Austin Endowment, and the Board of Directors for the Strake Jesuit Foundation.
