
FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, RBI AUSTIN
Matt Price is the Founder and Executive Director of RBI Austin, a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas, and an affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program. RBI Austin provides baseball and softball leagues, clinics, and Christian-based mentoring to underserved youth and communities.
In 2011, Matt left his corporate job at Frost Bank to launch RBI Austin with a vision to leverage baseball and softball to address the fatherless crisis in East Austin. RBI Austin began as a grassroots summer baseball team of 15 East Austin kids in 2009 and has grown to 1,670 kids ages 4-18 in 2024.
Matt was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and earned a Business/Economics degree from Wheaton College (IL), where he was a four-year letter winner for the Wheaton College baseball team (NCAA D-III). During his commercial banking career, Matt’s writing on the 2008 recession was published in the Risk Management Association Journal.
Matt has lived in Austin since 2007, is married to wife Elizabeth, and father of their three children ranging from 1 to 6 years old.
Matt is a fan of the underdog, advocate for the forgotten, and passionate about empowering underserved youth to be all God created them to be.
