Tom leads and is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Laird. He drives the investment strategy, culture, process, due diligence, and portfolio and trading decisions. Prior to founding Laird, Tom was a partner and director at FPR Partners (FPR). Over his 17 years at FPR Partners and Fremont Public Opportunities (FPO), Tom led investments across a variety of industries and built strong relationships with all-world executives. He has invested in over 100 companies and performed comprehensive diligence on over 400 businesses. He has hired, supervised, trained, and mentored principals and associates over the last 15 years. Prior to joining FPO in July 2006, Tom was a financial analyst in the investment banking group of Credit Suisse. Tom received an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University.
